Feedback
I READ ATLANTIC BUSINESS as part of my work (I work for McMaster- Carr, an industrial supply distributor, and many of our customers are in the Atlantic provinces). Your magazine has been invaluable in introducing me to an area I wasn’t familiar with. I’m intrigued and delighted at the spirit I see in your articles. Just wanted to say how much I enjoy your editorials. They’re smart, spunky, yet educated and always respectful, in all their honesty. Keep it up!

NICE TO SEE @ATLANTICBUS in my hotel room in St. John’s. It’s on my list of things to do while I await my flight home on Saturday!

THE #LOCATIONFINDER in the March issue is a nice idea @AtlanticBus! Maybe we get you folks together with @NSBI and others for an online searchable #map that showcases/highlights a variety of regions. Strengths could be from across the province, besides the main cities and it would enhance the #UI for #entrepreneurs as well.

I WAS GREATLY SURPRISED there was not a greater outcry from our collective self here in N.L. re: the backhanded insult Mr. McLeod delivered as he left our province, once it had served his purpose. It took Ms. Chafe to come to our rescue. An excellent rebuttal to McLeod’s arrogant disdain.

Letters for Lisa

It seems that you are a good manager in business and you may want to take your expertise a step further. Form a management team and hire “smart smaller contractors” and form a team. I have been in business for over 40 years and there is a need for this type of business. Your job description might change to project manager but it sounds like you are capable.

I have always admired your bold spirit and ‘never give up’ attitude. Reading your story, I felt so inspired and even more determined to push myself and my business further.

I am inspired by your ability to be willing to learn on the fly—an essential for a successful business owner. Mental toughness is also a trait that will serve you well. You’re no quitter.

Error of omission

We forgot to mention the person on the other side of the lens. March’s memorable cover story photos were shot by Nova Scotia photographer Dana Sweeney. You can see more of his work at www.dnphoto.ca

Correction
In our March issue, we identified the premier of New Brunswick as Stephen Gallant. His name, of course, is Brian Gallant. Atlantic Business Magazine sincerely apologies for the error.
