Success is a journey powered by many. It’s meant to be shared. Seek collaborations. Create partnerships. Build synergies. Go the unexpected route. Be astonished by the results.

At BrainWorks, these are the words they live by. What started as a two-person consultancy has grown into a 22-member, full-service, bilingual, and integrated marketing and creative “growth agency”. International and award-winning, BrainWorks helps people, Atlantic Canadian businesses, and organizations work together to push the limits of what’s possible.

“There’s power in reaching out,” Co-founder and President Brad LeBlanc says. “When you bring different worlds, ideas, and creative approaches together, you accelerate everyone’s growth dramatically.”

Consider the recent “Breaking a GUINNESS World Records Title” campaign, an amazing idea for a small New Brunswick charity. By working with local businesses, sponsors, and collaborators, BrainWorks shattered the previous (U.S.-based) record with their “$5 Challenge”, raising more than $250,000 for the Beauséjour Family Crisis Resource Centre.

Or consider the Nova Scotia Co-operative Council’s 70th anniversary celebration in 2019. Under the leadership and vision of its CEO Dianne Kelderman, BrainWorks worked with dozens of sponsors, hundreds of schools, and thousands of people to secure a special live event with former U.S. President Barack Obama. Says Brad: “This massive undertaking, a complete stadium sell-out in a record-setting 21 minutes, wouldn’t have been possible without so many uniting to do something extraordinary.”

From start-ups and local campaigns to national activations and collaborations with major brands, BrainWorks has helped over 400 companies and organizations grow in just this way. They’ve been part of projects that have helped raise over $25 million dollars for charities, non-profit organizations, and community causes.

And now they’re on the receiving end. “The tremendous outpouring of support and encouragement from across Atlantic Canada after the total-loss fire at our offices in April moved us in ways we never thought possible.” Brad says.

Many people do, indeed, help along the way. •
