As Atlantic Canada’s leading online recruitment and talent acquisition site, CareerBeacon bridges the gap between those looking for the right jobs and those offering them. “It’s really about bringing the two sides of the equation together and optimizing the chances for the best fit,” CareerBeacon’s CEO, Yves Boudreau, says. “In this constantly changing marketplace, connection is the most crucial component.”
Boudreau’s been operating in the world of HR Tech for nearly 10 years. Since 2021 — when he acquired CareerBeacon from Moncton, New Brunswick-based Brunswick News and merged it with his own highly successful human resource technology company, Alongside — the company has been on a roll.
More than 70 percent of Atlantic Canada’s labour force now relies on this market leader for job postings, industry information, best practices, and guidance. The same is true for employers and recruiters as CareerBeacon expands across Canada with its powerful recruitment and talent acquisition platform.
In October 2022, CareerBeacon upped its game by acquiring Ruutly. com, an innovative employer branding platform founded by its CEO, Ryan Porter. Ruutly, which automatically transforms static text postings into interactive candidate experiences, has been helping big brands such as Indigo, Haleon, GSK, Siemens, and Coachhub bring their job posts to life. In fact, Ruutly has improved its clients’ quarterly job posting view rates by up to 54 per cent and apply click rates by as much as 152 per cent. “Creating connections with employers and jobseekers requires better experiences on both sides, and Ruutly is a key piece of that puzzle,” says Boudreau.
“Our collaborative company structure means that we’re all continuously working toward our mission to put the spotlight on job seekers and employers and further connect them with opportunities,” Boudreau says. “We now have 21 members on our amazing team and Ryan Porter will lead CareerBeacon’s development as Head of Product to implement further product enhancements.”
