Dr. Codey Pilgrim says location was the easiest decision when launching his orthodontic clinic.
For people who dream of building a business in their Atlantic Canada hometown, Dr. Codey Pilgrim (34) is an inspiration.
Following five years of post-secondary studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, he attended dentistry school at Dalhousie University. After Halifax, he was off to Toronto for a year-long advanced hospital residency at the prestigious SickKids hospital. That was followed by a three-year residency in Alberta. For all intents and purposes, it looked like he was positioning himself for professional success in one of the country’s larger cities, but appearances are deceiving. Codey Pilgrim was determined to return to the province he’d grown up in.
