First Annual Atlantic Canada’s Best Places to Work 2023

Posted on January 02, 2023 | Atlantic Business Magazine | 0 Comments

There are many excellent employers across Atlantic Canada, but this program was established to recognize companies and organizations that are 100% committed to HR excellence—workplaces where going above and beyond is the norm.

Award winners are those who, among the 127 submitted nominations, excelled across all judging categories: corporate culture; work/life balance; diversity, equity and inclusion; benefits/remuneration; incentives/rewards (financial and otherwise); professional development and opportunities for career advancement.

Our big takeaway is that culture is king. Yes, flexible work options, competitive salaries and comprehensive health benefits are important parts of the HR package. But, in an environment where the lines between personal and professional are increasingly blurred, what truly makes an organization a BEST place to work is how it treats its staff. Do they feel respected and valued? Are their voices heard? Does what they say have an impact on how the organization is managed? For each of our 20 inaugural winners, the answer is a resounding yes.
