What does LifeTrack Safety do?
“We’re focused on providing safety solutions for niche sectors,” explains Amy Andrews. “We started in the marine sector making a lifejacket. Right now, we’re working on a personal safety mobile application for phones. We’re targeting university students and providing them with safety tools that are easily accessible.”
Why the change in direction?
The company’s first product was a GPS-enabled lifejacket for people working in the commercial fishery. Andrews says the timing of that product didn’t work out, but they haven’t given up on it. “We’re still really excited about it. It’s hard to be sitting on a good idea and waiting for the right time to get back in to it.”
