Gregg Curwin has spent more than two decades building companies across medical devices, biologics, consumer packaged goods and agri-tech. These ventures included TruLeaf Sustainable Agriculture—an early leader in indoor vertical farming—and GoodLeaf Farms, a national packaged greens brand. He is also co-founder, CEO and board chair of Novagevity, a medical nutrition company focused on chronic disease and longevity.

Now and since 2024, from a base in Conquerall Mills—a small rural community in Lunenburg County, N.S.—Curwin is applying that experience to a new startup that connects the agriculture, health and technology sectors.

Petite Riviere Farming Company is developing plant-based ingredients designed to support what Curwin calls “medical nutrition,” with a focus on prevention, chronic disease and scalable, evidence-based food systems. Atlantic Business senior contributor Alec Bruce spoke with Curwin about the company’s approach, the problem it’s addressing and where he sees the opportunity.
