Volta Cohort welcomes new startups into the fold

THE HALIFAX-BASED Volta Cohort program helps early stage startups from the ground up by providing mentorship and growth strategies to fledgling entrepreneurs in the tech sector. The second generation of tech startups taken under Volta Cohort’s wing were picked at Pier 21 in Halifax on May 16. The pitches of the five early stage startups were selected from 16 presentations by a panel of judges which included BDC Capital, Innovacorp and Volta Labs. Joining the Cohort comes with $25,000 seed money and mentorships with seasoned entrepreneurs.
