It’s taken former Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams 20 years to begin seeing his dream of a 2,400-acre planned community on the outskirts of St. John’s become reality. Phase one of Galway (named after Williams’s mother’s maiden name to recognize the province’s ties to Ireland) is underway, which will see development of 250 acres of industrial and retail land and 100 acres of residential land by 2016.
