The mega-award-winning, record-breaking, side-splitting This Hour Has 22 Minutes is in the midst of its most audacious year to date. With live events, road trips and special guests galore, the show’s 22nd anniversary celebration is scheduled to last all season long. Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and taped in front of a live studio audience, the half hour show has delivered, week after week, a brilliant combination of hilarious characters and ‘no one is safe’ satire.

The original cast of comedians included Cathy Jones, Rick Mercer, Greg Thomey and Mary Walsh. These days Cathy Jones continues as a regular – co-hosting with fellow Newfoundlanders and Labradorians Mark Critch, Susan Kent and Shaun Majumder to take on everything from the size of coffee to the state of the nation. And politicians beware: 22 Minutes has slated a special taping in our nation’s capital early in 2015. Watch for that event and so much more: Tuesdays at 8:30pm/9pm in Newfoundland on CBC.
