Fortis Properties snags national honours

Kostuch Media’s Pinnacle Awards recognize excellence in the Canadian foodservice and hospitality industry. The 2012 recipient of company of the year honours is St. John’s, N.L.-based Fortis Properties, headed by four-time Top 50 CEO award winner Nora Duke.

Notable recent achievements include the $25-million purchase of the Hilton Suites Winnipeg Airport in October 2011 and the investment of $30.7 million on capital expenditures.

On the foodservice side, 2012 highlights included a seven-person expedition to the renowned James Beard House in New York.
