Peter Conlon has a tendency to catch you off guard. Like when he says, “I’ve had, what I call, a drunken butterfly career trajectory.”
This comes from a man who has won Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEO award five times (he’s in the Hall of Fame). He’s a veteran of Canada’s high-tech industry—having worked in sales, finance, planning, operations, marketing and management for companies like Mitel, Newbridge Networks, Positron Fiber Systems, Rising Edge Technologies, Nautel and LED Roadway Lighting. He’s held positions on the Nova Scotia Community College’s board of governors and on the advisory board of Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management. He was the chairman of the board for Precision BioLogic of Halifax. He’s stable, successful, and 70.
