After a three-year hiatus, the ICE Awards, Atlantic Canada’s premier creative advertising show, are back and under new leadership with Atlantic Business Magazine. The 2023 ICE Awards Call for Entries is now open.
For more than two decades, the ICE awards have celebrated the local ad community, promoting and inspiring the best of creative advertising and design in Atlantic Canada.
“For over 30 years, Atlantic Business Magazine has proudly shared regional business stories with our readers throughout the region, across the country and around the world,” says Dawn Chafe, Executive Editor & Co-Owner, Atlantic Business Magazine.
“We have considerable experience delivering unforgettable corporate events such as our Top 50 CEO awards – which have, over 25 years, grown into Atlantic Canada’s signature celebration of corporate leadership excellence – and our annual Most Powerful Women in Business program. When we were approached by a group of long-time ICE community members to lead this initiative, we knew it was a great fit for us.”
Founded by a group of agency executives in Halifax and St. John’s, the ICE Awards have traditionally run on a volunteer basis, with different agencies taking the lead each year.
“Our goal is to keep the spirit of ICE alive while also reinvigorating the show, adding some year-over-year consistency, and ensuring that it represents the entire region,” says Tonia Hutton, Executive Director of Sales & Co-Owner, Atlantic Business Magazine.
To usher in the next era of ICE, Atlantic Business Magazine is collaborating with a volunteer steering committee:
- Anthony Taffe, Creative Director, Arrivals + Departures, Halifax, N.S.
- Tyson Hynes, Partner, Creative Director, District Design, Halifax, N.S.
