4th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards, 2024

In our fourth annual Readers’ Choice Awards, Atlantic Business Magazine readers have proved once again just how engaged they are in what we do. And that they’re equally engaged in recognizing the service providers who go above and beyond to help their businesses grow.
For this year’s Readers’ Choice competition, over 4,000 votes were cast (4,028 to be exact) across 17 categories. Receiving a Readers’ Choice award is meaningful for a couple of reasons. First, Atlantic Business Magazine does not prepare or recommend a shortlist of candidates: the online voting form is a literal blank slate for readers to fill. Second, we deliberately refrain from publishing interim results. We’ve seen other programs where the publication of preliminary results encourages bandwagon voting. In this case, no one knows how close any given company is to winning until the final results are tallied and presented here—a process we believe adds weight and legitimacy to the award.
Voting for this year’s selection closed on September first. Determining the winners was a simple mathematical equation: we added them up. They who had the most votes in any given category was declared the winner. In rare instances where the runner-up had at least 75 per cent as many votes as the first-place finisher, we awarded Honourable Mention.
Congratulations to our 2024 Readers’ Choice honourees. And, our sincerest thanks to the readers who took part in the competition. Your loyalty makes us the biggest winner of all.
