Atlantic Canada’s Top 25 Employers

The harder a goal is to attain, the more meaningful it is. Which is exactly why Atlantic Canada’s Top 25 Employers is the most highly valued HR recognition program in the region.

Literally a year in the making, it began with a national quest for nominees (you have to apply for Canada’s Top 100 Employers™ to even be considered for regional recognition). This year, more than 3,250 applications from across the country were scrutinized by Mediacorp editors in eight areas: (1) physical workplace; (2) work atmosphere and social; (3) health, financial and family benefits; (4) vacation and time off; (5) employee communications; (6) performance management; (7) training and skills development; and (8) community involvement. It’s a deliberately intensive process that ensures Top Employer status is only bestowed where it’s truly deserved.

Companies named to the list set the standard of what it means to be an employer of choice. And that’s where the real winning begins. Yes, the recognition is nice, but the ultimate prize is being the type of employer your staff will brag about. As these Top 25 will attest, those word of mouth testimonials are the most effective HR tool there is for attracting and retaining top performers.
