Thanks to a partnership involving Tourism New Brunswick, Destination Moncton-Dieppe, Envision Saint John and Rendez-vous Fredericton, New Brunswick’s three largest cities are presenting a united front to Canada’s meetings and conventions industry—one built around accessibility, regional variety and a more connected delegate experience.

“We want planners to see that New Brunswick offers a variety of experiences within a province that’s easy to navigate and highly collaborative,” says Tourism New Brunswick’s JD Boudreau of the initiative, Meet.Connect.Explore NB

The partnership also allows the Moncton-Dieppe, Saint John and Fredericton to maintain a stronger shared presence at trade shows and industry events across Canada while showcasing the range of venues, accommodations and experiences available throughout the province.

For planners, the appeal lies partly in proximity and ease of movement. Each city offers direct air access, relatively short airport-to-downtown travel times and convention infrastructure integrated closely with hotels, restaurants, entertainment districts and waterfront attractions. Officials involved in the partnership say the province’s manageable scale allows delegates to spend less time navigating transportation logistics and more time engaging directly with both conference programming and the communities hosting their events.

In Fredericton, that experience centres around a walkable downtown core where galleries, breweries, restaurants and historic venues sit within close proximity to convention and meeting facilities. Through Rendez-vous Fredericton — a partnership involving Fredericton Tourism, convention hotels and the Fredericton Convention Centre — planners are supported through a coordinated local network intended to simplify the event experience from booking through execution while keeping delegates connected to the city itself between sessions and events.

In Moncton-Dieppe, organizers gain access to the province’s largest inventory of accommodations, with more than 3,000 guest rooms supporting a growing calendar of conferences, sporting events and national gatherings. Positioned between the Fundy and Acadian coasts, the bilingual region combines highway accessibility, expanding air service and a mix of English and French Acadian culture that continues to shape the visitor experience. Its central location within the Maritimes also makes the region a practical hub for events drawing delegates from across Atlantic Canada.

Saint John offers a different but complementary setting, combining convention infrastructure with historic urban character and waterfront experiences tied closely to the Bay of Fundy. Its Inside Connection pedway links more than 123,000 square feet of convention and exhibit space with hotels, restaurants, retail amenities and the Saint John City Market, allowing delegates to move easily throughout the downtown core without relying heavily on transportation between venues.

Together, the three cities offer planners a combination of flexibility, regional variety and East Coast hospitality within a province where distances remain manageable and event experiences remain closely connected to the communities hosting them. Officials involved in the initiative say that collaborative approach increasingly resonates with organizers looking for destinations that can deliver both professional execution and a stronger sense of place for delegates.

“Each city offers its own distinct strengths personality, while sharing a commitment to quality, accessibility, and memorable business event experiences,” says Boudreau.
That combination of accessibility, infrastructure and coordinated regional promotion reflects a true understanding of the core purpose: to intentionally focus on creating meaningful, memorable experiences for attendees.
