Oh the places to go!
Once a week throughout this summer, Atlantic Business Magazine has highlighted five small businesses in Atlantic Canada bound by a chosen theme. Our “5 Places” series looked at coffee shops, locations for kayak rentals, the best comic bookstores to pop into on a rainy day and more.
The series started as a very simple thought: it’s been a very difficult time for small businesses, particularly in tourism and hospitality. We wanted to offer a little encouragement, deciding to shine a spotlight on some of the operations managing their way through.
In all, the series included 58 small business profiles (just a few extras along the way). It’s of course a drop in the bucket for all that Atlantic Canada has to offer.
The magazine will soon be introducing some new, regular online features. At the same time, we continue to encourage people to shop local and keep an eye for new gems popping up in your area or those longstanding businesses you think deserve more attention.
No matter the size, we’re always interested in hearing about Atlantic business.
