Yule love it
Christmas to become a yearround event in Weldon, N.B.

Santa Claus is visiting New Brunswick early this year, and residents have 18-year-old Jordan Grondin to thank for it.

In early November of 2012, the high school student (he has since graduated) launched his seasonally-themed retail store—Yule Love It—as a one-room operation in Riverside-Albert, N.B. It was a way for him to feed his selfprofessed passion for “Christmas, decorating and serving the public.”

When the fledgling entrepreneur sold out on all four of his product lines by the end of Christmas, it encouraged him to open an expanded operation 32 km away in the town of Weldon. The new location is only a 15-minute drive from famed tourist attraction, the Hopewell Rocks, and the City of Moncton.

Not only has he doubled his showroom space, but Grondin has also ambitiously more than tripled the number of product lines he sells. “We will now be selling Fontanini, Tag, Midwest-CBK, Crossroads, Nutcracker, Kurt S. Adler, and more,” says Grondin excitedly. “And we’re retaining popular brands such as Department 56, Jim Shore, Willow Tree, Thomas Kinkade, and serving as a Bradford Exchange Dealer.”

In addition to selling well-known Christmas brands, Yule Love It products will be arranged by theme, enabling customers to quickly find items to match their desired décor, from Victorian to chic, Western to artisanal (featuring locally-made products).

For holiday enthusiasts who are unable to indulge their inner child with a personal visit to Yule Love It, Grondin says he will be opening an online store this Fall.
